Part of Antalis’ promise when taking over the prestigious Arjowiggins’ brands was to not only bring back their iconic stocks but also to keep on innovating in order to provide with bold grades to support bold projects. Discover some of those below.
The Curious Collection is now complemented with a super eco-friendly range, Curious Particles aiming to bring back the ancient spirit of Arjowiggins’ former Curious and later Keaykolour together with a high focus on eco-innovation. Working along with one of the most sustainable and environment-committed mill in Europe, a thorough analysis of the previous manufacturing process was carried out that lead to notice that the shimmering flecks effects would require too many chemicals and water.
The new range was developed with the aim of decreasing as much as possible its environmental impact. Many alternative fibres were tried to be blended with post-consumer recycled pulp and a mix of sugarcane and bamboo was selected. Several organic inclusions were also considered and tried, and the final selection was for Roses, Lily Flower and Coffee, each of them colouring partially the paper. The range is also carbon-compensated through an alliance with ClimatePartners.
Conqueror has been the standard for premium communications since 1888. After the successful relaunch with the exact same shades and finish of the classical Wove, Laid and CX22 finish, we decided to bring back the iconic Conqueror Connoisseur 100% Cotton. For this exclusive grade we aimed for the most refined and state-of-the-art manufacturing process, a mould-cylinder paper machine, that elevates the finish towards hand-made paper.
To make the most of this new manufacturing process, a new light and shadow watermark was created, new singled-layered heavy boards and a new finish inspired from fine art papers was developed: Conqueror Connoisseur Rag.
Known for his high rigidity boards and wide colour pallet, Keaykolour has also benefited from an extension to best answer the needs for luxury applications, especially packaging. The 45-colours range is now complemented with Keaykolour Extra-Rough in black and white, an heavier grade with more long fibres especially developed for premium packaging. This new black shades also offers improved lightfastness. 4 additional embossing are also available, answering the request of most premium houses with a Leather finish, a new fashion-inspired Saffiano texture, a wood effect with Keaykolour Cedar and the classical woven Buckram embossing. From invitations to book covers and folding boxes, these papers will add a timeless elegance to any project.
On top of these innovations, Antalis fine paper range was complemented with new 100% recycled grades within Olin Design and Rives Sensation Tactile. Our innovation mailer card is on Rives Sensation Tactile 350G and you will receive it into the new Olin Design Recycled C5 envelope.
Olin Design Recycled as a warm finish and benefits from the highest environmental certifications, including EU Ecolabel and Blue Angel. Ranging from 90g up to 400g with coordinated envelopes, it is perfect to create an elegant brand identity, for advertising or premium packaging.
Rives Sensation Tactile Recycled is a creative paper with a natural touch a finish that offers perfect colour reproduction. It is especially recommended for premium publishing projects where high contrast and fine screen ruling is needed to create crisp visual. From 120g to 350g, it is perfect for high-end mailers, look books and invitations.
