Strong environmental features
MetsäBoard’s products are safe throughout their life cycle, with regard to both their manufacturing and the raw materials they contain. The traceability of the raw materials used in manufacturing is particularly important for paperboards that will be in contact with food. MetsäBoard knows the origins of all the raw materials that it uses, including wood, pulp and chemicals.
The requirements and regulations for materials in contact with food are only a starting point. MetsäBoard’s products meet the strictest international standards, and often surpass the requirements of local or regional legislation. MetsäBoard’s paperboards and the chemicals used to manufacture them do not contain any harmful compounds.
MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB
Metsä Board’s dispersion barrier coated paperboard helps reduce plastic and can be easily recycled in paper or paperboard streams. MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB ticks all the boxes for premium packaging, especially in food and food service end uses, where medium grease and moisture barrier are needed. It accelerates the circular economy by making recycling easier, whilst eliminating plastics and reducing the carbon footprint.
