Polyart® synthetic paper consists of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) film coated with a unique clay coating that ensures a print quality that’s vivid and colourful. Combining the advantages of paper with the durability of plastic, Polyart synthetic paper looks, feels, prints and converts like a premium matt-coated paper but stands up to water, weather, grease, chemicals and is highly tear resistant. Polyart’s state-of-the-art synthetic paper comprise a complete range of films designed to withstand the most demanding applications.
Polyart® gives excellent performance and durability, standing up to harsh conditions or handling. Its water, grease, weather and chemical proof. Dimensional stable, it will also remain flat, irrespective of humidity, so a perfect solution for virtually any application, whatever the ambient conditions.
Though durable, at the same time Polyart® converts easily, so can be scored, folded, perforated, varnished, foil blocked, stitched and more. It can also withstand extremes of heat and cold, remaining stable up to +60° C / +140° F and down to -60° C / -76° F. Good UV resistance and weathering characteristics, means Polyart® will not shrink or become brittle. It is is often used in label applications, due to its stiffness and conformability and even complies with BS5609//II (immersion in seawater test) and UL969 labelling standards with the appropriate adhesive.

Standard Polyart® has matt white, 2 side coated surfaces and is available in 75, 90, 110, 140, 170, 200, 240 and 285gsm. It can supplied in either sheets or reels and is perfect for all kinds of graphical applications. For label material manufacturers, Polyart® is also available in 1 side coated formats.
In addition to matt white, Polyart® Iridescent comes with a choice of beautiful, eye-catching opalescent shades (Gold, Silver and Pearl Blue). If you need a synthetic paper with optimum environmental credentials, r-Polyart contains 30% post consumer recycled HDPE, contributing to circular economy and reduction in landfill and environmental impact. Polyart® is a great solution for manuals, cookbook or guide books which are likely to face frequent handling or harsh conditions. Combined with its strength and liquid resistance, its unique bulk, foldability and smoothness makes Polyart is great choice for folded outdoor maps and plans. The matt coating enhances the legibility of the map compared to laminated materials. It’s also a superior choice for Menus, with no absorption of liquids on the edges, nor the damage commonly seen with laminated menus. It’s Easy to wipe clean too!

Recently introduced is the new range of r-Polyart, using post-consumer recycled HDPE polymer to reduce its carbon impact and help customers reach their sustainability goals.
r-Polyart looks and feels like normal Polyart, but by using consistent and reliable sourcing of high-quality recycled HDPE, it maintains all the quality and performance of standard Polyart, whilst contributing to the circular economy and a reduction in landfill. Its also compliant to EU 2030 packaging target of minimum 30% recycled content.
