The phone case embedding an innovative and unique system allows measures in any ambient light. No additional lighting equipment is required.

Thanks to its patented phone case, the solution improves the camera of your smartphone to analize the reflectance of a surface.

The tool combines the portability, ergonomics and connectivity of the smartphone with the accuracy of a spectrophotometer, all at an affordable price thanks to the limitation of expensive components included in the case.

The dedicated application and its Cloud platform allow you to easily measure, store, compare and validate your colours according to your needs.

The solution includes an electronic circuit containing LEDs and calibration cards whose spectral properties have been individually calibrated during the manufacturing. When you receive your case, the mobile application downloads calibration data from your case from the Cloud.

Before using your solution, a calibration step of your smartphone's camera is required. This can be done easily in a few minutes, following the instructions given in the application.

The solution can measure surfaces up to 1mm². This makes it possible, among other things, to measure the colour of a printed line and text. The maximum measuring area is 25x25mm.

You can compare your measures with those from another device in two ways: either by exporting your measures from the application to a CxF file, the format file used in many color management software, or by comparing your measures in the application with the L*a*b* values from the other spectro entered manually.

The application offers a feature to export one or more colours into ASE file format. Colours can then be easily and quickly integrated into the color library embedded in your softwares.

You work on the real measured colours and the file provided to the printer integrates the real colour and not the one displayed on the computer monitor.

The difference between two colours is displayed as a "DeltaE", it characterize the difference between two L*a*b* values and provides an objective criterion for colour comparison.

For example, it allows you to validate or invalidate the reproduction of a colour shade in relation to a given reference. The application integrates the DeltaE CIE1976, CIE1994 and CIE2000 standards.

The solution allows non-contact measures thanks to built-in stand, which ensures the right angle of inclination and the stability. This allows you to measure freshly printed colours without waiting for drying and without any deterioration.

The calibration and maintenance of the solution are done without any qualification required, in complete autonomy. The solution is supplied with three calibration cards valid for 5 calibrations and for one year.

A new batch of cards is sent automatically when you renew your subscription. These cards allow you to calibrate the solution, easily, being guided by the application, in just a few minutes.

Currently, the solution is available for iPhones, starting with the iPhone 8 model.
