Efficient and impactful packaging design is essential for creating memorable customer experiences. Essex-based Tapp’d Cocktails, a producer of handcrafted, ready-to-drink cocktails, wanted to elevate their packaging. Together, we developed a smart and versatile packaging solution that delivered on both functionality and efficiency.

The Client's Challenge

Tapp’d Cocktails offers a range of premade cocktails sold through bars, supermarkets, TV shopping channels and their online store. Their gift sets (which feature three cocktail bottles and a martini glass) are their flagship products, yet their packaging failed to deliver the premium customer experience the brand was striving for.

Their design didn’t adequately convey the Tapp’d Cocktails brand story or adapt to special occasions like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. Additionally, it required excessive stock space for its multiple designs, which drove up costs.

The Antalis Solution

Occasion-ready and brand-enhancing packaging

To address Tapp’d Cocktails’ challenges, our Smart Packaging Centre (SPC) team designed a versatile solution: a removable sleeve system combined with an elegant gift box.
 

  • Removable sleeves: these lightweight, customisable sleeves allowed Tapp’d Cocktails to update packaging designs for special occasions (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day) with minimal cost and effort.

  • Stylish gift boxes: featuring an open-front design, the boxes displayed the cocktail bottles and martini glass while ensuring protection during transit. The white kraft corrugated material provided durability, while maintaining an on-brand aesthetic.

Results that make a difference 

1. Stronger brand identity: the new packaging highlights Tapp’d Cocktails’ premium branding, creating a memorable unboxing experience for customers.

2. Flexibility: the removable sleeve system allows for efficient updates for seasonal promotions, reducing the need for multiple packaging SKUs.

3. Cost efficiency: by streamlining packaging stock and production, Tapp’d Cocktails minimises costs without compromising quality.

A collaborative success 

The Antalis Smart Packaging Centre team conducted design trials and real-world testing to ensure the solution met expectations. The partnership extended beyond design—Antalis also managed the manufacturing and printing process.
