Demand for eco-friendly packaging is growing, driven by legislation, business CSR/ESG commitments, customers, and by the need to simply be doing the right thing. But how can you be sure that the packaging you’re buying is the most sustainable option? And could there be other ways of reducing the environmental impact of your packaging beyond the materials you use?
From product provenance to carbon footprint and the circular economy, getting a true picture of your packaging’s sustainability can be challenging, especially when you are also under pressure to increase efficiency, reduce costs and deliver great customer experience.
At Antalis, we can help you transition your business to a more sustainable future.
The most sustainable solutions aren’t always obvious. That’s why it’s important to get a balanced view of your current operation, including materials, processes, CO2 in manufacturing, logistics and end of life of materials. We will then make recommendations to create a lower carbon solution for Scope 3 emissions.
It also doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive either, sometimes a small change can make all the difference to reducing CO2 while at the same time improving efficiency and reducing costs.
The greenCONSULT assessment is a simple six-step process. One of our sustainability experts will visit your premises to review all aspects of your packaging operation before recommending changes for you to implement.
We assess the carbon footprint of your packaging and logistics using independent data to give you real life and ‘what if’ comparisons.
We will conduct a full lifecycle analysis of the packaging you use in your operation to identify areas where we believe improvement is possible.
We will compare and test different packaging designs and materials, using our Green Star System™ of environmental product classification and Green Card comprehensive environmental product information to guide us and help you to select the best planet friendly packaging solutions.
We will propose reduced carbon packaging solutions incorporating design, automation and process improvements.
We will produce samples and stage onsite trials to demonstrate the solution benefits and process improvements, while ensuring our designs delight both you and your customers.
The sixth and final step sees your greenCONSULT recommendations put into practice, including use of materials and, if appropriate, the purchase of new machinery. We will of course provide advice and support throughout. We’ll then continue to support you with continuous monitoring, tracking of needs and just-in-time deliveries together with ongoing support on the path to Net Zero.
